Does anyone else have a hankerin' for some Fruit Loops?
EDIT: a part of a balanced breakfast.
By AcePilotHarryKane in Sweden,
Cute character selections. I honestly wasn't expecting any more AC sets.

I am SUPER EXCITED. I wish we could get a nice 3 sets for the second wave, but I am still SUPER happy with we got.
In the Animal Crossing games, Freya was always my favorite village. Each game since the first except Wild World, I made sure Freya lives in my village. Seeing Audie as a minifig makes me happy. It gives me home that maybe! JUST MAYBE! they can use the head mold made for Audie to make a Freya minifigure. So even in my lego animal crossing village, Freya is able to live there as well.

I'm crossing my fingers for Whitney!

Very nice overall and faithful to New Horizons, except for the inexplicable inclusion of a van which is very strange for a theme/game set on an island that doesn't have roads or a ferry. But I guess LEGO just gotta do their LEGO thing and cram vehicles into E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.

There have been vehicles in AC. I'm just disappointed we haven't had Isabelle's RV yet.
By MegaBlocks in United Kingdom,
I think it was always obvious that there would be more sets as characters like KK Slider and Wilbur weren't in the first wave.
A few more characters like Timmy and Tommy, Flick, Mabel etc to come, so expect further waves.
Always seemed like an obvious theme for Lego and has constantly appeared in Ideas. So not surprised that it's popular.
By pretzemilia in United States,
Both sets look pretty nice! These sets look like they'll capture the spirit of Animal Crossing just as well as with the first wave. I'm concerned about the prices of both sets though; they seem about 25% too high, at least. Isabelle's House Visit offers a lot more substance than the airport set for not too much more money, and the Nook's Cranny set (which is the worst value set in the initial wave in my opinion) offers two buildings for less money than the town hall set.
By GenericLegoFan in United States,
Just waiting for anything zelda, personally. These are good sets but I'm way more interested in zelda than animal crossing.
By Feroz in Netherlands,
Long ago a friend of mine was playing Animal Crossing on the GameCube and described it as if he was living in a Fabuland world. Funny to see it come full circle in a way.
While I don't expect Fabuland to make a return, I still think Lego could do a non-violent theme with anthropomorphs as minifigures.
I can't purchase these.
The risk of wanting to become a completest is too high!

Still no peaches or pears.
By Shib in United Kingdom,
Was surprised nothing was posted about these sooner as LEGO revealed them in a video on Friday.
Can’t wait for these, pretty much predicted these for wave two and hoping them I’m also right for wave three to be a Museum set (with Blathers and hopefully Celeste) and Able Sisters shop set as these are the two main New Horizons base island locations not yet represented.
By Pollywanna in France,
The prices are a bit much and I'm not altogether convinced the KK Slider figure is done well. 3 figures in an 80 dollar set is a joke, surely they could have reused another head mold and given us an extra villager, or at least a Tom Nook variant
By AverageChimaEnjoyer in United States,
I swear
I am turning that Audie minifigure into Diane Foxington from The Bad Guys
(I realize Audie is a wolf and not a fox, but... whatever)

Oh, Able Sisters has gotta be next!
By legomanijak in Serbia,
I wouldn't pay 80 euros for that set even if it came with 40 euros inside the box.
By R0Sch in Germany,
That camper is smart. Pun intended. :))
Too bad these sets are all in the Super Mario style and merely facades on flimsy plates. The minifigs are great though. A dodo bird in City would be a nice addition.
By 8BrickMario in United States,
Still feels weird to see no player character minifigures, especially when villagers are being depicted doing player-exclusive activities like using Nook Miles Tickets. I understand that in a theme with custom heads for everybody, you'd need to make a new mold for every chosen player hairstyle in order to decently represent the breadth of looks offered to players in the game, but it's a little odd seeing no representation of the player avatars.
By StudWorks in United States,
I'm a huge Animal Crossing fan but I'm honestly disappointment with these two sets.
The Airport only includes Wilbur and not Orville, plus the plane being a convertible looks dopey.
The Plaza is also overpriced (should be at least 20 bucks cheaper) but since it has K.K. Slider I'll at least consider getting it when it has a 20 buck discount.

It's a famous Nintendo game series that's been around since the early 2000's - it's extremely popular.

"In total, the Animal Crossing franchise has sold 78.8 million units worldwide"
By AverageChimaEnjoyer in United States,
Never played Animal Crossing, but it sounds like fun. Given the games' popularity and how much content is within them, I expect LEGO to continue making these for years to come! Which I'm excited for, because of all the new anthropomorphic animal heads we'll be able to put on minifigures!

That may explain it. In my country Nintendo is not a popular gaming platform.

They could just use normal minifigure hair on normal minifigure heads. Maybe with larger printed eyes?
Wait... never mind. The Clone Wars sets already showed us that was a terrible idea.

I don't believe TLG has indicated anywhere that these are strictly based on New Horizons. Other games have absolutely had vehicles https://nookipedia.com/wiki/RV

Yes, the sets are not all completely based on New Horizons, Isabelle's minifigure in the House Visit set, for instance is her New Leaf appearance. The RV is a nod to the cute (but boring and ruined by gacha) Animal Crossing Pocket Camp mobile app.
By Jackthenipper in United Kingdom,
£80 seems too high based on wave 1 prices alone, but the plaza set is calling me. I think I’ll either wait for a decent discount or a really nice GWP before I will even consider buying it.
By Brickodillo in Netherlands,
The first wave was ace. This wave not so much. First the town hall is a great location of course, but the build is too simple and has such a small depth that there is no space enough for a help-desk for Isabella to sit behind. Also the side builds are just unnecessary in this set. The flag has only one connection point and looks ugly. The speakers alongside the town hall look not like speakers at all.
The airport is just a flimsy facade, and where is Orville? Unless there will be a cmf series for AC i don’t expect Orville to show up in any other set. The plane is not right as well.
Also no new animal to catch. A tile with the shade of a fish would be cool to use in this set.
Everything is too simple and blocky. Even more than wave 1 and that is not a good thing.
I hope they will step it up with further releases because i think these sets are just not good enough sadly (but i love the figs!)

I actually think it's based on K.K.'s RV in the "Welcome Amiibo" update to Animal Crossing New Leaf—the colors and music note pattern are a perfect match. I was also surprised by its inclusion in this set, but feel like it offers some nice play potential—since K.K. is a visiting character, kids can have him drive up, unload his equipment (which the back of box picture shows can be stored in the roof of the RV), and set up for the concert.

That's a great point! In the game K.K. Slider simply appears on the plaza each Saturday you log on, but it makes sense for play to drive him on and off the island.
Shame to see the postcard display got axed from the airport, thought. In-game it's how you send letters to your villagers and other players
By Studnotontop in United States,
Audie gives us minifigure parts in the new orange color for the first time. Huzzah!
Utterly perplexed by Orville’s absense in the airport set. It looks strange that Wilbur has three jobs to perform. I’m not sure if Orville would’ve needed a new mold. Hopefully we get him one day.
Overall I’m pleased with these sets. They’re perfect for kids and represent the series well. I just wish the environmental builds had more substance and the plates would stick together better. I built all of the wave one sets in two days. Trying to move them while keeping my layout secure was just impossible.
Also I *need* a Lego Bluebear. The bear cub head mold exists already. C’mon Lego…

Actually, that brings up a major question--if this is a New Horizons island setting, then how is K.K.'s RV actually getting there? There's no canonical vehicle ferry in the games!

I shall consider you my rival now!
When I was young, I loathed Whitney since she replaced Freya in Wild World and I believe if it wasn't for Whiney, Freya would have been in the Animal Crossing movie. But as I grew up, I always made my 'hate' towards Whitney a running joke. lol
In all seriousness, I hope we're able to get Whitney as well!
Honestly, with so many Villagers and everyone having a favorite, it makes me afraid that Lego won't be able to scratch the surface of all the villagers (which is understandable) but I can't help myself, I want all my favorite villagers. lol

I'd like at least one villager I've actually had before in my towns, though I worry some species won't be compatible, like sheep and octopuses.

I feel like Octopuses would be possible with a new leg mold (and possibly arms, though they might want to stick with regular minifig arms so they can hold accessories). Sheep might be trickier than most, though, since their round, fluffy shape in the games might be hard to capture with minifigure proportions.
By KaiserCoaster in United States,
Seems like a weird choice for Isabelle's outfit. Not sure if that's from a specific earlier game? I feel like she should be in one of her New Horizons outfits given the town hall - either the outfit she gives the morning announcements in, or the outfit she wears when she stands outside with Tom Nook.

Keeping fingers crossed for museum and the roost set, redd’s trawler, able sisters and maybe a crafting box to customise your own house/garden and character with a selection of heads.
Imma rebuild the plane though. Unless I missed something and picked out it’s colours when I started playing; it’s yellow

The airport and plane have different colors per island. Mine has orange.
