How to get the Holotracker
Once you complete the main story quests on Toshara and have met ND-5 back on your ship, you can find the Holotracker near the Blaster worktable and side door showing a specific location on Toshara.
Holotracker quest walkthrough
The Holotracker displays a specific landmark on your current planet. It’s basically a pirate’s treasure map and X marks the spot. It only contains a single hologram at first, and that holo shows you a place on Toshara.
The location depicted by the holo is near a homestead behind Typhon’s Rock in the Lost Steppe region. Nearby, you’ll find Jaunta’s Hope (NW), Pyke Territory (SW), and the Shipjacker Workshop (E).
Once there, head to a stone marked with the same shape as the red bit from the hologram. You’ll have the option to interact with it and isolate the frequency.
From there, it’s just a game of hot and cold. The light will flash and beep more frequently the closer you get to the treasure. The blinking will get faster and faster as you head down off the cliff where the rock is “pointing” to.
It’s a bit of a maze through there, but most of the structures in there are only meant to confuse you. You’re looking for a little holodisc reader toward the entrance to the more open area of the cave.
Insert that holodisc just like Princess Leia did to R2-D2. Really jam it in there so it gets stuck. Prepare yourself to experience the most inviting ladder ever created in a video game.
Upstairs, you’ll find a datapad telling you the that you can also use the Holotracker to locate Smuggler’s Caches scattered throughout the planet. These are chests with goodies hidden in unremarkable places. The Holotracker will glow purple and beep when you’re near one.
On the wall, next to the datapad, you’ll find a Data Spike port. Pick the lock and inside you’ll find a chest containing Jet Kordo’s Legacy Part 2 and the Scoundrel Belt.
There’s a hologram explaining how there are other chests scattered across the galaxy for you to find, though you’ll need to find other holodiscs first.
After reading that Emergency Miyuki Caches datapad, you’ll get some Intel about Hidden Smuggler Caches. It’s basically just a tutorial for how the purple blinking helps you locate those caches.
You can continue Jedi Kordo’s Legacy on Kijimi. There is a valut in Kijimi city as well adn we have a full walkthrough for you to follow and unlock it.
Smuggler Cache Treasure Locations
This is a list and guides to the locations of all Treasure Chests discoverable with the beeping of the Holotracker on Toshara. We are adding more as we find them.
Smuggler Cache 52 Location
The one nearby, Smuggler Cache 52, is located a little ways past the magnifying glass marker shown by the Intel.
Smuggler Cache 52 contains 500 Credits, 10 Ion Cells, and 5 Ray Accelerators. The idea is for these items to contain non-unique items, like upgrade materials and credits.
IMPORTANT: The contents of the Smuggler Caches seem to be randomized. In any case, the loot is insignificant you are likely doing this for fun and to complete your collection of discovered Treasures on the planet. You will earn some nice credits too.
The next Smuggler Cache treasures are ordered in chronological order by their number. It doesn’t matter in which order you discover them.
Smuggler Cache 05 Location
To access this cache, you need the Speeder Boost ability. You earn this by completing The Mechanic quest and unlocking Selo Rovak as an expert. You also need the Power mod for your blaster. This one is unlocked by playing the main story of the game.
The treasure is hidden in a dark cave in the northwest corner of The Mirage region on Toshara. The cave is accessible from a small plateau. To reach it, you have to use Speed Boost while riding your speeder up a ramp.
You will find the chest at the bottom of the dark cave.
Smuggler Cache 18 Location
The Smuggler Cache 18 is at Typhon’s Rock in The Lost Steppe region on Toshara. You can reach it by taking the climbing approach we showed you in our Typhon’s Rock Treasure walkthrough, which grants you the Tooka Paw minor charm. Alternatively, this is also a quick and easy path to reach the hidden cache.
When you reach the small plateau, head left towards the crashed TIE fighter ship and Shuma’s shop (which may or may not be there when you visit).
Right around the ship’s remains, you will start hearind the beep and see the light flashing from the Holotracker. Go around the remains and turn east.
Smuggler Cache 20 Location
This one is in the southernmost part of the Pyke Poaching Station The Lost Steppe. Be careful of the two Varaki animals nearby. They are aggressive if you approach them.
Smuggler Cache 22 – Gateway Stash
In the far southeastern corner of the Southenr Falls region, just southwest of the Pyke Poaching Station, there is a cave containing the Smuggler Cache 22.
The entrance of the cave is facing east, on a lower level from the main area. Infront of the game you will find some deserted camp.
Smuggler Cache 35 Location
Smuggler Cache 35 is in the northern part of the Boulder Forrest. This is Imperial territory, but if you are not Wanted, you will be fine to walk or bike around their zone. The chest is at the bottom of a small canyon.
Smuggler Cache 37 Location – Tosharan Treasure
Far to the east on the map, just next to the border, Smuggler Cache 37 is burried on the north side of a small hill, in the Boulder Forrest.
Smuggler Cache 39 Location
This smuggler cache is hidden in a cave, which entrance is high up on a hill on the southwestern side of Shipjacker Workshop in The Lost Steppe region.
When you climb that mountain, at the small plateau where the Aglis Flyers are, at the end of the path, look for a narrow opening in the rock on your left.
Smuggler Cache 42 Location
This chest is just west of the Pyke Syndicate Workshop The Mirage region. To reach it, you need the Speeder Boost ability. Start at this ramp:
Next, turn right and head up the second ramp. Here you will have to use Speeder Boost right before you jump to be able to reach the other plateau.
Smuggler Cache 54 Location
The treasure chest is on the very edge of the northern border of the Mirogana Valley, northwest of Mirogana.
Smuggler Cache 71 Location
The Smuggler Cache 71 is west of the Imperial Forward Base in the Southern Falls region. You have to reach a plateau that is accessible only after a huge jump using your speeder with Speeder Boost. The ramp you have to use is in a restricted Imperial territory.
There is some minor loot around the crashed Imperial TIE Fighter. On the opposite side, near the cliff’s edge, is the Smugler Cache.
Smuggler Cache 86 Location – Stolen Imperial Goods
This treasure is at the western edge of the map of Toshara, in the Suthern Falls region. It is burried next to the waterfalls south of the Imperial Forward Base.
Smuggler Cache 88 Location
This chest is half-burried in the ground next to a lake and a waterfall in the far eastern end of The Lost Steppe region. Just follow the stream and when the river splits, take the north bifurcation.
