From a press release:

Last year, Motionless In White fulfilled a lifelong dream by headlining their first-ever Scranton Apocalypse Fest in their hometown’s biggest venue, The Pavilion at Montage Mountain.

Today, the metal band announced that they will be hosting Apocalypse Fest 2.0 at the area’s other major venue, Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m.

Presented by Hazleton rock radio station 97.9X, the show will celebrate the 10th anniversary of “Reincarnate,” which debuted at No. 9 Billboard Top 200, No. 1 on the Rock Album charts, and became the No. 1 Metal Album on iTunes upon its release in 2014, selling 31,000 copies in its first week alone. MIW will play the fan-favorite record in its entirety, including the singles “Reincarnate,” “Puppets 3 (The Grand Finale),” “Dead as f*ck,” “Break the Cycle,” and “Unstoppable,” alongside other hits from their catalog. Supporting acts will be announced leading up to the event.

Tickets, which start at $29.50, go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com and in person at the NBT Bank Box Office at the arena (255 Highland Park Blvd., Wilkes-Barre Twp.).

Held on Sept. 16, 2023, the inaugural Apocalypse Fest featured a heavy metal lineup consisting of Parkway Drive, Knocked Loose, The Amity Affliction, After the Burial, Northlane, Alpha Wolf, and Make Them Suffer, serving as the start of Motionless In White’s national Touring the End of the World Tour that ran though the end of October.

The return of Apocalypse Fest will be their first local show since then. This year, they performed at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas with System of a Down, Slipknot, A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, Bring Me the Horizon, Danny Elfman, Primus, and many more diverse acts. They also made a special appearance at WrestleMania XL, where they played WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley’s theme song “Demon in Your Dreams” live at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, which was broadcast to millions across the world on April 6.

“It was the greatest honor to be a piece of WWE’s longstanding history of including and showcasing heavier music in their world. Feeling the excitement of Rhea and MIW fans has been as magical as it was to actually perform in that moment. Thank you WWE, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, and Rhea Ripley so much for welcoming us to your massive stage!” the band shared on social media.

Motionless In White – Chris Motionless (vocals), Ricky “Horror” Olson (guitar), Ryan Sitkowski (guitar), Vinny Mauro (drums), and Justin Morrow (bass) – has harnessed the power of an unholy union between industrial metal dissonance, spellbinding gothic pop bombast, and big screen-worthy iconography to emerge as one of modern rock’s most iconoclastic and cinematic forces.

Climbing out of the shadows of the working class city of Scranton in 2004, the group has tirelessly earned the undying allegiance of a devout worldwide audience one record at a time. With over half-a-billion cumulative streams and views to date, they have notched four consecutive Top 5 debuts on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums Chart and Top Rock Albums Chart with “Reincarnate,” “Graveyard Shift” (2017), “Disguise” (2019), and their latest effort, “Scoring the End of the World.” The 2022 album debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200, marking MIW’s second biggest sales week ever. It is highlighted by the single “Cyberhex,” which trended in the Top 10 on YouTube, and the follow-up “Masterpiece,” which lit up streaming platforms and active rock radio.

With guests as varied as Bryan Garris of Knocked Loose, Caleb Shom*o of Beartooth, and video game composer Mick Gordon, the album finds the band’s vision magnified wider than ever before with no shortage of teeth, fire, and blood. It’s the dawn of their biggest chapter yet, and they’re still touring on its strength in 2024, including an upcoming U.K. run that is quickly selling out.
