The Kingsman movies offer an alternative take on British espionage, and they can be watched by release order or by their chronological order of events. Some of its installments have jumped into the past to depict the origins of the intelligence agency, and that change in time frame can make it difficult to determine how to watch the Kingsman movies in chronological order. Luckily, the release order of the series is more straightforward, with three installments to the franchise so far. Kingsman: The Blue Blood will likely fit nicely into the series' order, coming at the end of both the release order and chronological order.

When it comes to watching the Kingsman movies in chronological order, the most recent release is the earliest in the timeline. The King's Man showed the origins of the Kingsman agency during World War I. Orlando Oxford (Ralph Fiennes) assembled a network of servants that acted as spies, just in time for the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the starting point of the war. He then used his network to combat the Flock and its Shepherd.
The King's Man put Orlando near several historical figures, like Woodrow Wilson and Rasputin. The ending of the movie showed Orlando purchasing the famous tailor shop the agency operates out of and marked the start of the Kingsman, placing it as the first installment in the series' chronology. Since The King's Man is a period-comedy set in the early 20th century it feels distinctly different from the other movies in the Kingsman franchise.

However, the villain in The King's Man, the Shepherd (AKA Captain Maximillian Morton), ensures that — despite these differences — The King's Man is definitely a Kingsman movie. His diabolical plot to start the First World War has the end-goal of destroying England completely, and feels just as smart-yet-ludicrous as the antagonist's schemes in both Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Kingsman: The Secret Service (2015)
Kingsman: The Secret Service
Based on the comic book series of the same name, Kingsman: The Secret Service tells the story of rebellious teen Eggsy (Taron Egerton) as he's inducted into a top-secret spy agency by a man codenamed Galahad (Colin Firth). After learning that billionaire Richmond Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) plans to destroy the world, Eggsy and Galahad set out to avert international disaster and uncover widespread corruption that threatens to consume the Kingsman agency itself.

The second movie when watching the franchise in chronological order is also the first Kingsman movie released — 2015's Kingsman: The Secret Service. Kingsman: The Secret Service was the first to adapt the comics into live-action, and it did so in an explosive style. The first Kingsman movie follows Eggsy, a young adult from a working-class household who dropped out of the military to take care of his mother, as he is recruited into the Kingsman organization by Harry.

Eggsy then learned that his father had been an agent for the Kingsman, and began his trials and training to join the agency. Harry shows Eggsy that there is more to being a spy than suits and gadgets, and gives him the series' famous lesson, "manners maketh man." Kingsman: The Secret Service was the beginning of Eggsy's time as an agent in the modern day, which places it in the middle of the three current Kingsman movies chronologically.
When watching the Kingsman movies in chronological order, there are plenty of connections between Kingsman: The Secret Service and The King's Man. These were of course added retroactively due to The King's Man being released several years after Kingsman: The Secret Service, however they still serve to make viewing the franchise in chronological order a cohesive and rewarding experience.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)
Kingsman: The Golden Circle
Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the second film in the Kingman franchise, is based on the comic book series of the same name by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. Kingsman: The Golden Circle continues the story of Eggsy (Taron Egerton), now codenamed Galahad. When a mysterious cartel known as the Golden Circle threatens international security, Eggsy must travel to America to request the help of the Statesman agency. The Golden Circle sees Egerton, Mark Strong, and Colin Firth reprise their roles from the previous film, and also introducesJulianne Moore, Channing Tatum,Pedro Pascal,Halle Berry, andJeff Bridges to the franchise in supporting roles.

The final film when watching the Kingsman movies in chronological order is Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which saw Eggsy's second major mission. The Golden Circle takes place a year after Kingsman: The Secret Service, and finds Eggsy as a much more confident spy. However, he is also still mourning the loss of Harry — something that plays heavily into the more emotional moments of the otherwise lighthearted action-comedy.

The villain of Kingsman: The Golden Circle is Poppy (Julianne Moore), who is the head of the titular Golden Circle, and has a scheme to force the President of the United States to end the War on Drugs by circulating narcotics laced with a toxin for which only she has the antidote. However, Poppy is also aware of Kingsman, and knows her plan will likely fail if they intervene, and so acts to remove them from the equation.
Poppy destroyed the tailor shop while also killing every Kingsman agent in Britain aside from Eggsy and Merlin. That catastrophic attack led the pair to the Statesman, the American counterpart to the Kingsman. Eggsy also discovered that Harry had not died at the end of Kingsman: The Secret Service, and helped him recover his memories after his injury.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle's ending gave Eggsy a wife, the Statesman a distillery in Scotland, and the Kingsman a new tailor shop. While Kingsman: The Golden Circle currently stands as the most recent installment in the franchise, Eggsy's story will be concluded in the upcoming Kingsman: The Blue Blood. Director Matthew Vaughn has revealed some of Kingsman: The Blue Blood's plot details, and the sequel should hit theaters in the next few years.
What's The Future Of The Kingsman Franchise?
There Are Several Upcoming Kingsman Movies
The next Kingsman movie is Kingsman: The Blue Blood, which has been in development since around 2017. Little has been revealed, but it has been confirmed by Matthe Vaughan that The Blue Blood will mark the end of the trilogy of Kingsman movies that focus on the relationship between Harry and Eggsy. Exaclyt how (or even if) the franchise will continue the modern portion of the timeline is uncertain, although it would be incredibly easy to start a new trilogy of Kingsman films set in the modern day that simply focused on different agents (perhaps even giving Eggsy an apprentice of his own).

A sequel to The King's Man is also in the works, titled The King's Man: The Traitor King
The Blue Blood isn't the only Kingsman movie currently on the horizon. A sequel to The King's Man is also in the works, titled The King's Man: The Traitor King. The Traitor King is far earlier in its development than Kingsman: The Blue Blood . However, the plot is in some ways more established, as Vaughan has confirmed it will follow on from the final scenes in The King's Man that suggest Adolf Hitler will be a key focus.

Additionally, sequel movies for the two timelines in the Kingsman franchise aren't the only places fans can look for a continuation of the story. There is also a Statesman TV series in development, and possibly even a spin-off movie, though Vaughan has confirmed almost no details beyond the fact they're on the horizon. Finally, 2024's Argylle, the spy-thriller starring Henry Cavill, was revealed to take place in the same universe as Kingsman during its mid-credits scene. While it's a self-contained story, this does open up a possibility to Henry Cavill to appear in Kingsman: The Blue Blood.
